Pharrell Williams, known for his creative prowess, has partnered with Launchpad Hospitality Group to unveil two Japanese culinary destinations in Miami’s Design District—Nami Nori and Matsuyoi.

Nami Nori, which opened in mid-December, brings the essence of New York’s famed hand-roll restaurant to the vibrant Floridian city with its signature temaki and light, beach-inspired interiors. Upstairs, Matsuyoi offers an intimate and moody dining experience, featuring a seasonal multi-course menu crafted by chef Taka Sakaeda, paired with refined cocktails and sake.

The restaurants, housed in the same building, showcase the perfect balance of tradition and innovation. Nami Nori’s bright ambiance contrasts Matsuyoi’s elegant design, inspired by Japanese wood-block artist Kawase Hasui. This marks Pharrell’s first collaboration with Nami Nori and reflects his commitment to blending culinary excellence with artful design. With plans to expand to Pharrell’s hometown of Virginia Beach, this partnership signals the beginning of an exciting journey in reimagined dining experiences.
