Celine newly appointed creative director Hedi Slimane, presented the first men’s collection for the French label.
The show took us back to Slimane’s commitment to his music and rock vision with a bold departure from Phoebe Filo days. Celine as well announced in statement that they will be joining the Paris menswear collection calendar in January. The collection will feature more unisex pieces.
For his first campaign which Slimane shot himself, the collection was shot alongside work by Swiss-American artist Christain Marclay. Images of models are balanced out with shots of retro technology to show a clear new era of Celine that draws on inspiration from the past.
