Kim Jones is known for layering his references, and tethering them back to French culture.
So in this collection he took the sportswear structures of vests and utilitarian work wear that appeared throughout. With the heavily beaded vest with what looked like a cat’s face—what Jones called a “tactical jacket”. The embroidery is considered as the statues to French heroes and statesmen in parks and buildings around Paris.
